Strawberry Smoothie

What you'll need:

  • 1 8-ounce carton of vanilla yogurt

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • 2 cups strawberries, mashed

  • How to make it:

How to make it:

  • Put yogurt, milk and strawberries in a container.

  • Cover and shake until smooth.

  • For variations, add mashed bananas or peaches or 1/3 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed.

Makes about 3 cups.

Fruit Salad

What you'll need:

  • 1 head lettuce

  • 1 can pineapple chunks; drain but save the juice

  • 2 small nectarines, peeled

  • 1 can peaches; drain but save the juice

  • 1/4 cup carrots, shaved or grated

  • 1/2 cup celery, diced

  • 1 apple, diced

  • 1/2 cup orange juice

How to make it:

  • Chop all fruits and vegetables. Toss them in a large bowl.

  • Mix 1/4 cup pineapple juice, 1/4 cup peach juice, and 1/2 cup orange juice in a separate bowl.

  • Pour juice mixture over the fruits and vegetables.

  • Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.

Makes 5 sevings.
