Cookbook: Babies Recipes

Basic Fruit

What you'll need:

Fruit

  • Apples
  • Pears
  • Peaches

How to make it:

  • Wash and peel fruit.

  • Cut fruit into small pieces. Remove all seeds.

  • Add 1/4 cup of boiling water to 1 cup of chopped fruit and simmer until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  • Mash the fruit and force it through a food grinder with a small amount of the cooking water to blend until smooth.

  • Or, you can avoid cooking the fruit and put the chopped fruit in a blender. Blend until smooth, using water or juice if needed.

Basic Vegetables

What you'll need:

Vegetables

  • Squash
  • Green beans
  • Carrots

How to make it:

  • Wash and peel vegetables.

  • Slice vegetables for fast cooking.

  • Add 1 to 1 1/2 inches of boiling water to vegetables.

  • Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until soft.

  • Mash, blend or grind with some of the cooking water (or juice) until smooth.
