Toddlers: Importance of Water

Water, Juice, and Milk

Children should have the vitamins and minerals provided by juice and milk, but too much juice can cause problems with their teeth.

Children should have about 16oz low-fat milk and only 4oz of juice a day. Everything else should be water.

It's a good idea to serve milk or juice at meals and water in between.

Make sure you keep plenty of cold water in the refrigerator. For meals, have milk or juice.
