Infants have special needs when it comes to eating utensils.
These utensils include spoons, cups,
plates, highchairs, and
booster seats.
You can make it easier for your child to learn how to
eat foods if you know which utensils work best.

Parents need to be sure their baby is ready to try infant
spoons or cups. Your baby should be fed only breastmilk for at least
six months.
Once your child stops pushing solid food out of their
mouth with their tongue you may try certain solid foods, like iron-fortified
cereal.
