Preschoolers: Healthy Snacks

Home | Pregnancy | After Delivery | Babies | Toddlers | Preschoolers | Family | Parenting

Parents have many questions about snacks for their children.

How often should I feed my child snacks?Toddler

  1. Mid-morning
  2. Afternoon
  3. Bedtime

Try to offer foods only at meals and snack times. That way your child will know when snack time is and won't eat all day.

How big is one serving?Toddler

Offer one tablespoon of food for each year of your child's age.

For example, if your son is 4 years old, offer him 4 tablespoons of applesauce as a snack.
