Family: Meal Planning

Home | Pregnancy | After Delivery | Babies | Toddlers | Preschoolers | Family

Getting Started

The fist thing you should do when planning meals for you family is ask them a few questions. Consider what your family likes to eat and what you like to cook. Considering these things will make it easier to stick with your plan.

1. What foods does your family like to eat in the morning? Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Plan to eat foods that provide you with energy such as yogurt, cereal, or a small stack of pancakes.

2. What does your family usually eat for lunch? Try and plan servings of fruit or vegetables for lunch.

3. What does your family like to eat for dinner? Make sure to plan servings of fruits or vegetables for dinner too.

4. What healthy snacks do you want your family to eat? Consider foods and drinks high in calcium like yogurt or milk.
