Home | Pregnancy | After Delivery | Babies | Toddlers | Preschoolers | Family | Parenting

Behaviors of Fussy Eaters

A choosy eater may be recognized by certain things they do. Choosy eaters may act differently from one another or may act differently from day to day. Many actions can be seen as fussy eating.

Food Strike

Fussy eaters may not eat anything on their plate if one food they don't like appears on that plate.

Meals are Play Time

Choosy eaters may also be restless and seem to only 'play' at the table and never eat.

Different Foods Can't Touch

Many children get upset when foods touch one another on their plate.

Food Jags

Children may also go through stages where they will only eat one food for a length of time; these are called food "jags".
