Many cultures throughout the world use beans as a staple food in a variety of dishes.

In some countries bean dishes are seasoned with chili peppers or powders to create easy, fast, healthy dishes for their families.

Food

All of the world cuisines use legumes as a part of their diet. Curried lentils are popular in India and Pakistan. Dry beans and corn are staple foods in Mexico, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

In India a wide variety of spices are used to make curry. Different cooks add different spices to their curry sauce to make a variety of mild to spicy dishes. Any curry sauce will have both spice and onion.

Food

In India curry sauce is often served over lentils, peas, or dry cooked beans.

Mexican dishes are the native Indian foods of Mexico. Three of their staple foods are beans, corn, and squash. The Mexican dishes popular today have been changed over the years to suit North American and European tastes.
