Pregnant Women and AdolescentsFood

Pregnant and breastfeeding women need more protein than average. Growing adolescents also need extra protein to be healthy and to grow strong.

Teens who are very active and athletes may need more protein and carbohydrates to keep energetic. Try and serve healthy carbohydrate rich meals, such as chili or tacos, instead of sugary foods or sodas.
