Family Planning Services

Are you interested in obtaining our services which are available to both men and women?

You can find a family planning/birth control clinic in every city and county health department in Virginia.  Click here to find the offices in your area.

Call to make an appointment.  Clinics are held at various times and various days of the week.

How much will my visit cost?  Payment is based on your income by sliding fee scale unless you have health insurance that covers your services.  Your charges for the provided services could be free, a small charge or full fee. Click Here for the current income scale based on family size.

When you come, bring information on your income. If you do not work or are a student indicate this on your first visit.  You may bring a paycheck stub or you can tell us what you know to be your income.

It is expected that fees for family planning services be paid at the time of the clinic visit.  Payment plans may be available if you need them.

Family planning insurance for men and women is available now.  The name of this insurance is called PLAN FIRST. The local health departments are providers for PLAN FIRST family planning insurance. To find out more about PLAN FIRST go to www.PlanFirst.org
