Funding Opportunities

• Funding Opportunity to Assist in Implementation of PREVENT project for up to twenty Sexual and Domestic Violence Agencies (SDVAs) in Virginia. This funding opportunity is available to assist in the implementation of the PREVENT Project, a project of the Virginia Teen Dating Violence Prevention Taskforce - Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance. To be eligible for this training opportunity, a SDVA must commit to providing PREVENT Project training and technical support to at least two Community-Based Youth-Serving Agencies during the 2008/2009 school year. Small grants of $1000 will be awarded to reimburse some expenses incurred in managing the project. For more information on PREVENT, please see the Combining Strengths presentation.

• Funding Opportunity for Sexual Assault Crisis Centers in Virginia to establish statewide reimbursement contract(s) through competitive negotiations for the purchase of sexual violence primary prevention program(s).  Approximately $18,000 is available for a six-month funding process.  Approximately $36,000 is available for each of the optional two-year renewal periods.  Therefore, it is anticipated that one-year renewals will be at twice the funding level of the first six-month contract period.  It is anticipated that one to three contracts will be awarded. • National Online Resource Center on Violence Against Women (VAWnet)
  The Current Funding Database provides a synopsis of the currently available
  fellowships, scholarships and grants that may be used to address domestic
  violence, dating violence, sexual violence, and stalking. The funding
  announcements are arranged by Government Grants for Programs, Private Grants
  for Programs, Research and Evaluation, Fellowships and Scholarships.

• Request For Proposal #715A063 for Sexual Violence Prevention

  The intent and purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit sealed
  proposals from established Sexual Assault Centers in Virginia to develop a
  statewide reimbursement contract through competitive negotiations to procure
  sexual violence primary prevention programming. Optional pre-proposal
  conferences will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
  in a conference room of the Thomas Jefferson Health District, 1138 Rosehill
  Drive, Charlottesville, VA and Wednesday, June 29, 2005 from 10:00 am to
  3:00 pm in a conference room of the Peninsula Health District, 416 J. Clyde
  Morris Boulevard, Newport News, VA. Sealed Proposals will be received until

• Male-Focused Sexual Violence Prevention Funding Opportunity: This funding is available to male-serving organizations to create new primary sexual violence prevention projects for men and adolescent boys.
