Virginia Healthy Communities Project

The Virginia Department of Health works to promote and encourage communities across the Commonwealth to make healthy changes in the places and organizations that touch people’s lives every day—schools, work sites, health care sites, and other community settings.  By doing so, Virginia can begin to turn the tide on the national epidemic of chronic diseases – diabetes, heart disease, cancer.
