Virginia Diabetes Indicators Database Prevalence - It is estimated that in 2005, 396,260 adult Virginians had diabetes. However, this figure does not include the number of Virginians with undiagnosed diabetes, pre-diabetes, diabetes during pregnancy (called, gestational diabetes), and diabetes under the age of 20 years.
