Virginia Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Project
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) fund the Virginia Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention (HDSP) Project to implement heart disease and stroke prevention and control initiatives through systems change, environmental and policy support, application of a state HDSP strategic action plan, expansion of a state HDSP Coalition, defining the burden of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) in Virginia, and working to reduce racial and ethnic disparities related to CVD.
