“Hospitalizations and Associated Charges for Cancer Among Adults in Virginia, 2003” (S. Ward, 2006)(448 KB) – An analysis of inpatient hospitalizations and costs (charges) associated with the following cancers—female breast, cervical, colorectal, lung and bronchus, melanoma, and prostate—among adult patients in Virginia.

“Chronic Disease in Virginia: A Comprehensive Data Report (2006 Edition)” (VDH, Division of Chronic Disease Prevention and Control, 2006)(4.3M) – An analysis of the morbidity, mortality and risk factors associated with several chronic diseases in Virginia. Feedback survey is available online.

“Preventable Cancers in Virginia: A Risk Assessment Report for Breast, Cervical, Colorectal, Lung, Melanoma and Prostate Cancers by Health District” (L. Penberthy et al., 2005)– A risk assessment based on several health data sources for the following cancers--breast (female only), cervical, colorectal, lung and bronchus, melanoma, and prostate—in each of the 35 local health districts.

“Analysis of Cancer Risk in District Health Departments in Virginia, 1992-1995” (2.2M) – An extensive analysis that provides an estimation of cancer risk for each of the 35 local health districts in Virginia, based on several sources of Virginia health statistics.
