LIVING WITH ARTHRITIS SUMMIT SCHEDULED FOR MAY 11

An estimated 1.5 million Virginians live with arthritis, the nation’s No. 1 cause of disabilities. The Virginia Department of Health has planned a one-day conference to provide physicians, allied health professionals and other caregivers with current information on alternative therapies, treads in surgical options, pain management and the latest in drug therapies for arthritis.

Participants also will discuss arthritis as a public health concern and strengthening partnerships between public and private organizations to address the impact of arthritis on Virginians.
