Are You At Risk For Depression?

10 percent to 25 percent of all women will be depressed during their lives. In fact, women are twice as likely as men to experience depression, yet many do not seek treatment. Depression is a medical condition that should be diagnosed and treated by a trained healthcare professional, such as a primary care provider, psychiatrist, psychologist, or a social worker.

Do you think you may be suffering from depression? Ask yourself these two questions:

1. During the past two weeks, have you often been bothered by feeling down, depressed, or hopeless?
2. During the past two weeks, have you often been bothered by little interest or pleasure in doing things?
