Retail Store Publications
One of the goals of the VA WIC Program is to effectively monitor approximately 800 retail stores and commissaries who provide foods and formulas to WIC participants. WIC participants receive food instruments for WIC foods or formulas that may be redeemed at any of these 800 authorized stores and commissary locations. To accomplish the Program's service goals, the Division has established a service goal of 150 to 250 participants to 1 participating retail store, depending upon the store trade area location. The Program is committed to ensuring that WIC participants have reasonable access to authorized store locations.
