FDA - Breast Pump Basics - A new consumer website on breast pumps was posted on March 27th by the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH). The site provides general information on breast pumps, and features an animation outlining how breast pumps work. Also included are links to the Devices@FDA listing of FDA-cleared breast pumps, the MedWatch adverse events reporting system, FDA's medical device recalls website, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Breastfeeding Helpline, and contacts for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infant, and Children (WIC). This website is the product of an effort that was initiated with the U.S. Breastfeeding Committee.
