What is a WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counselor?

A woman who:

  • Breastfed her baby and has been on WIC
  • Has completed a WIC breastfeeding course
  • Shares breastfeeding information
  • Gives you support before and after your baby is born
  • Helps families get off to a good start
  • Can visit you at home
  • Is a phone call away

Volunteers are always welcome!

Your local Breastfeeding Coordinator can arrange for you to meet a local peer counselor. To find contact information for your local Breastfeeding Coordinator, go here.
