Virginia Child Health Information Systems Integration Project

In July 2005, VDH was awarded a 3-year CDC Cooperative Agreements for "Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EDHI) Tracking, Surveillance, and Integration." Funds were awarded to establish the Virginia Child Health Information Systems Integration Project (VaCHISIP).

The goals of VaCHISIP are:

1. Produce and implement a redesigned Virginia Infant Screening and Infant Tracking System (VISITS II).

2. Use VISITS II data to guide and support child and adolescent health clinical and programmatic decisions.

3. Integrate/link VISITS II with other child health information systems.
