Choose Respect: Healthy Teen Relationships Training
This training, presented by VDH staff, will train participants on how to present a Choose Respect workshop to youth, parents and professionals. All training participants will receive a copy of the Choose Respect Video on DVD and Curriculum Guide.  The timeframe for the workshop is 1-3 hours. Male-Focused Sexual Violence Presentation
The problem of men's violence against women is not just a women's issue. Men need to be part of the solution. This workshop addresses why men should care about this issue and some things men can do to make a difference. The timeframe for this workshop is 1-3 hours. White Ribbon Campaign
The training will also provide information and resources on how to implement a White Ribbon Campaign in your community. The White Ribbon Campaign is part of a multinational effort to get men involved in working to end violence against women, to raise awareness of the problem, and to support organizations that deal with the consequences of men's violence against women. Child Sexual Abuse Dialogue Project
This project is an open dialogue on child sexual abuse prevention between survivors, family members, recovering offenders & professionals. Through a short training and panel presentation, VDH brings together survivors, recovering sex offenders, family members, and treatment providers to offer their stories of hope and begin to create a more optimistic reality in our community where all adults understand the role they can play in stopping child sexual abuse before it starts. Sexual Coercion and Sexual Exploitation of Minor Teens
This training for professionals covers statutory rape and the law, recognizing and responding to youth involved and prevention. The training involves an 11 minute video. RADAR Training
Standardized, comprehensive, speciality-specific curricula (i.e., Primary Care, Gynecology, Dental) on intimate partner violence for health care providers on universal screening, assessment, documentation and referral. Resources designed to supplement the following presentations may be requested. If you are interested in scheduling a time for a certified instructor to present a one hour training program at your practice or institution, contact the Laurie Crawford at Laurie.Crawford@vdh.virginia.gov or 804-864-7705.

Logic Model and Program Design

Trainings by Other Organizations

The New England Adolescent Research Institute (NEARI) offers a free online training on keeping children safe from child sexual abuse in congregations.  They also offer other courses for a small fee. Take the 3-4 hour online course at http://www.neari.com/trainingcenter.

Understanding Sex Offenders: An Introductory Curriculum.  This free web-based training curriculum is offered by the Center for Sex Offender Management.  This curriculum is designed for professionals who are interested in learning more about sex offender etiology and typology.

End Violence Against Women International developed an On-Line Training Institute to bring state-of-the art training to anyone who is interested, on the topic of criminal justice response to sexual assault. This On-Line Training Institute provides the opportunity for interested professionals to expand their knowledge of cutting edge developments in the criminal justice and community response to sexual assault, with particular emphasis on those crimes committed by someone who is known to the victim ( i.e., non-strangers).

Male-Focused Sexual Violence Presentation
If you are looking to bring a male-focused sexual violence presentation to your agency or group, then the Speaker's Bureau is just what you need. This group of presenters have been through a two-day training by Men Can Stop Rape and can present to locations around the Commonwealth of Virginia at no cost to your organization.
