The Sexual Violence Prevention Program has implemented targeted outreach to men. This outreach allows men and those working with men to become part of the solution to the problem of sexual violence.
Para Mi Hijia is an expansion of the "Isn't She a Little Young - sex with a minor, don't go there" campaign. This is a very basic web page in Spanish discussing why statutory rape and sexual coercion of minor teens by adults is a problem. There are some warning signs of abusive relationships (borrowed from ChooseRespect.org), a brochure in Spanish discussing how to avoid sexual coercion (under "Recursos"), national links, and the "Gracias Papa" radio spots. The "Gracias Papa" campaign consist of a set of three radio spots that feature Latino fathers with daughters. The fathers talk about the opportunities they want for their children and how older men should not be dating younger teens.

The Teen Dating Violence Task Force developed an Awareness Packet. This packet is a series of five posters addressing teen dating violence prevention with the theme of "Teen dating violence: You can't ignore it." The posters are available for download or can be ordered by calling the Virginia Family Violence and Sexual Assault Hotline at 1-800-838-8238.
This set of four posters designed by Men Can Stop Rape is designed to raise awareness of sexual and dating violence among youth and highlight the vital role young men can play in fostering healthy, safe relationships. Organized around the theme line "My Strength is Not for Hurting," the Campaign emphasizes how men can be strong without using intimidation, force or violence. See a preview of the posters here.
The Red Flag Campaign is the a statewide public awareness campaign to address dating violence and promote the prevention of dating violence on Virginia's college campuses.
The Virginia Department of Social Services implemented a poster campaign called, Domestic Violence: It's closer than you think. This series of six posters is available at www.closerthanyouthink.org.
The Division of Injury and Violence Prevention, along with the Division of Women's and Infant's Health developed the video, "A Single Moment of Decision - Preventing Sexual Coercion" and produced by EAF Productions. This is a professionally-produced training video for nurses working with adolescents. It teaches about sexual coercion and how to recognize and prevent it. The video shows scenes of two young adolescent girls visiting the public health clinic. Additionally, the video depicts realistic situations in which the adolescent girls are experiencing coercion. The DIVP produced a video "Talk to Me: Talking to Your Teen About Dating Violence and Sexual Assault" with VAVS Productions. This video offers 10 communication tips for parents and shows four realistic scenes highlighting parents' discussions with their teens.
Henrico County Community Criminal Justice Board produced a video, "Open Arms? Open Eyes! Power, Control and Abuse in Teen Relationships", for adolescents.
