Sexual & Domestic Violence Prevention
The Division coordinates a statewide effort to prevent sexual violence and teen dating violence. The Division collects and analyzes data on the prevalence of sexual and intimate partner violence, provides training and develops and promotes resources. Funding and technical assistance is provided to local sexual assault centers so that they can offer prevention education in local communities. The Division provides outreach and education to males to encourage involvement in prevention and addresses the problem of statutory rape through training, education and a public awareness campaign. Project RADAR training and resources are provided to health care providers to encourage and facilitate their involvement in violence screening and referral.
