Military and Veterans

Studies estimate at least 300,000 of our service men and women are suffering major depression or post-traumatic stress. An additional 320,000 are suffering from a traumatic brain injury. There is an average of 18 suicides a day among America's 25 million veterans.

The Division of Injury and Violence prevention can provide trainings to military/veterans employees and the community on how to identify and help individuals with thoughts of suicide. For more information on the trainings available, please see our training section by clicking here.
